This is an example of a custom focal point. The window is a new Marvin French window featuring a barrel vaulted valance assembly with lighting. In this photo you can see the detail I've added with the three stages of moldings, starting with the pencil trim, the flat fascia with the large crown above. The wall cabinets flanking the window are detailed with a lambs tongue chamfer and the side door detail is held down to accommodate the valance above. The bow front seven drawer cabinet feels like it came off a yacht, each drawer is curved along with the face frame, each drawer fully extends and has arced cherry sides to the drawer box.
Storage was a goal in this project so we integrated hardware that fully extends into the room for access to all four platforms. Each space has lighting which comes on when the door is opened. Sliding doors are above on the counter concealing small appliance storage.
